حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ هُلْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَؤُمُّنَا فَيَأْخُذُ شِمَالَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وغُطَيْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وسَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ هُلْبٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالتَّابِعِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَنْ بَعْدَهُمْ يَرَوْنَ أَنْ يَضَعَ الرَّجُلُ يَمِينَهُ عَلَى شِمَالِهِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرَأَى بَعْضُهُمْ أَنْ يَضَعَهُمَا فَوْقَ السُّرَّةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرَأَى بَعْضُهُمْ أَنْ يَضَعَهُمَا تَحْتَ السُّرَّةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكُلُّ ذَلِكَ وَاسِعٌ عِنْدَهُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَاسْمُ هُلْبٍ:‏‏‏‏ يَزِيدُ بْنُ قُنَافَةَ الطَّائِيُّ.

Urdu Translation

ہلب طائی رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہماری امامت کرتے تو بائیں ہاتھ کو اپنے دائیں ہاتھ سے پکڑتے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ہلب رضی الله عنہ کی حدیث حسن ہے، ۲- اس باب میں وائل بن حجر، غطیف بن حارث، ابن عباس، ابن مسعود اور سہیل بن سعد رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۳- صحابہ کرام، تابعین اور ان کے بعد کے اہل علم کا عمل اسی پر ہے کہ آدمی نماز میں داہنا ہاتھ بائیں ہاتھ پر رکھے ۱؎، اور بعض کی رائے ہے کہ انہیں ناف کے اوپر رکھے اور بعض کی رائے ہے کہ ناف کے نیچے رکھے، ان کے نزدیک ان سب کی گنجائش ہے۔

English Translation

Qabisah bin Hulb narrated from : his father who said: Allah's Messenger lead us in prayer and hold his left hand with his right.
