حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلَّالُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ جَرْهَدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ بِهِ وَهُوَ كَاشِفٌ عَنْ فَخِذِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ غَطِّ فَخِذَكَ فَإِنَّهَا مِنَ الْعَوْرَةِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ.

Urdu Translation

جرہد رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ان کے پاس سے گزرے اور وہ اپنی ران کھولے ہوئے تھے تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اپنی ران ڈھانپ لو کیونکہ یہ ستر ( چھپانے کی چیز ) ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Jardah Al-Aslami: from his father, from the Prophet (ﷺ) who said: The thigh is 'Awrah.
