Ali narrated: Allah's Messenger said to me: 'O Ali! I love for you what I love for myself, and I dislike for you what I dislike for myself. Do not squat between prostrations.'

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، عَنْ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا عَلِيُّ أُحِبُّ لَكَ مَا أُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِي وَأَكْرَهُ لَكَ مَا أَكْرَهُ لِنَفْسِي لَا تُقْعِ بَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَلِيٍّ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْحَارِثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ ضَعَّفَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ الْحَارِثَ الْأَعْوَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ عِنْدَ أَكْثَرِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ يَكْرَهُونَ الْإِقْعَاءَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ.

علی رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   مجھ سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اے علی! میں تمہارے لیے وہی چیز پسند کرتا ہوں جو اپنے لیے کرتا ہوں، اور وہی چیز ناپسند کرتا ہوں جو اپنے لیے ناپسند کرتا ہوں۔ تم دونوں سجدوں کے درمیان اقعاء ۱؎ نہ کرو“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ہم اسے علی کی حدیث سے صرف ابواسحاق سبیعی ہی کی روایت سے جانتے ہیں، انہوں نے حارث سے اور حارث نے علی سے روایت کی ہے، ۲- بعض اہل علم نے حارث الاعور کو ضعیف قرار دیا ہے ۲؎، ۳- اس باب میں عائشہ، انس اور ابوہریرہ سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۴- اکثر اہل علم کا عمل اسی حدیث پر ہے کہ وہ اقعاء کو مکروہ قرار دیتے ہیں۔
