حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُغَيرَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: إِنَّمَا مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُ أُمَّتِي كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ اسْتَوْقَدَ نَارًا فَجَعَلًتِ الذُّبَابُ وَالْفَرَاشُ يَقَعْنَ فِيهَا، وَأَنَا آخُذُ بِحُجَزِكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ تَقَحَّمُونَ فِيهَا ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ.
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”میری اور میری امت کی مثال اس آدمی جیسی ہے جس نے آگ جلائی تو مکھیاں اور پتنگے اس میں پڑنے لگے ( یہی حال تمہارا اور ہمارا ہے ) میں تمہاری کمر پکڑ پکڑ کر تمہیں بچا رہا ہوں اور تم ہو کہ اس میں ( جہنم کی آگ میں ) بلا سوچے سمجھے گھسے چلے جا رہے ہو“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- دوسری سندوں سے بھی مروی ہے۔
Narrated Abu Hurairah: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The Parable of myself and that of my Ummah is that of a man who kindled a fire, and the flies and moths began flying into it - and I am trying to prevent you from diving into it.
