حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّوَارِبِ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَالِكٍ النُّكْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْجَوْزَاءِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ ضَرَبَ بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خِبَاءَهُ عَلَى قَبْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ لَا يَحْسِبُ أَنَّهُ قَبْرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِذَا فِيهِ إِنْسَانٌ يَقْرَأُ سُورَةَ تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ حَتَّى خَتَمَهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنِّي ضَرَبْتُ خِبَائِي عَلَى قَبْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنَا لَا أَحْسِبُ أَنَّهُ قَبْرٌ فَإِذَا فِيهِ إِنْسَانٌ يَقْرَأُ سُورَةَ تَبَارَكَ الْمُلْكُ حَتَّى خَتَمَهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ هِيَ الْمَانِعَةُ هِيَ الْمُنْجِيَةُ تُنْجِيهِ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفِي الْبَابِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ   صحابہ میں سے کسی نے اپنا خیمہ ایک قبر پر نصب کر دیا اور انہیں معلوم نہیں ہوا کہ وہاں قبر ہے، ( انہوں نے آواز سنی ) اس قبر میں کوئی انسان سورۃ «تبارك الذي بيده الملك» پڑھ رہا تھا، یہاں تک کہ اس نے پوری سورۃ ختم کر دی۔ وہ صحابی نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئے پھر آپ سے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! میں نے اپنا خیمہ ایک قبر پر نصب کر دیا، مجھے گمان نہیں تھا کہ اس جگہ پر قبر ہے۔ مگر اچانک کیا سنتا ہوں کہ اس جگہ ایک انسان سورۃ «تبارك الملك» پڑھ رہا ہے اور پڑھتے ہوئے اس نے پوری سورۃ ختم کر دی۔ آپ نے فرمایا: «هي المانعة» ”یہ سورۃ مانعہ ہے، یہ نجات دینے والی ہے، اپنے پڑھنے والے کو عذاب قبر سے بچاتی ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث اس سند سے حسن غریب ہے، ۲- اس باب میں ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے بھی روایت ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: One of the companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) pitched a tent on a grave without knowing that it was a grave. Suddenly he heard a person from the grave reciting Surah al-Mulk till he completed it. So he went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: 'Oh Messenger of Allah, I pitched my tent on a grave without realizing that is was a grave. Then suddenly I heard a person from the grave reciting Surah al-Mulk till he completed it.' The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'It is the defender, it is the deliverer - it delivers from the punishment of the grave.'
