حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، قَال:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق.

Urdu Translation

علی ابن ابی طالب رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تم میں سب سے بہتر وہ شخص ہے جو قرآن سیکھے اور سکھلائے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: اس حدیث کو ہم علی بن ابی طالب کی روایت سے جسے وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کرتے ہیں صرف عبدالرحمٰن بن اسحاق کی روایت سے جانتے ہیں۔

English Translation

Narrated 'Ali bin Abi Talib: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The best of you is he who learns the Qur'an and teaches it.
