حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ، سَمِعَ مِقْسَمًا مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ يُحَدِّثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ غَيْرُ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ سورة النساء آية 95 عَنْ بَدْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْخَارِجُونَ إِلَى بَدْرٍ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ غَزْوَةُ بَدْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَحْشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّا أَعْمَيَانِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَهَلْ لَنَا رُخْصَةٌ ؟ فَنَزَلَتْ لا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ غَيْرُ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ سورة النساء آية 95 وَفَضَّلَ اللَّهُ الْمُجَاهِدِينَ عَلَى الْقَاعِدِينَ دَرَجَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَهَؤُلَاءِ الْقَاعِدُونَ غَيْرُ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ وَفَضَّلَ اللَّهُ الْمُجَاهِدِينَ عَلَى الْقَاعِدِينَ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا ‏‏‏‏ 95 ‏‏‏‏ دَرَجَاتٍ مِنْهُ سورة النساء آية 94-95 عَلَى الْقَاعِدِينَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ غَيْرِ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمِقْسَمٌ يُقَالُ:‏‏‏‏ هُوَ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيُقَالُ:‏‏‏‏ هُوَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَكُنْيَتُهُ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ.

Urdu Translation

  عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما آیت «لا يستوي القاعدون من المؤمنين غير أولي الضرر» کی تفسیر میں کہتے ہیں: جب جنگ بدر کا موقع آیا تو اس موقع پر یہ آیت جنگ بدر میں شریک ہونے والے اور نہ شریک ہونے والے مسلمانوں کے متعلق نازل ہوئی۔ تو عبداللہ بن جحش اور ابن ام مکتوم رضی الله عنہما دونوں نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! ہم دونوں اندھے ہیں کیا ہمارے لیے رخصت ہے کہ ہم جہاد میں نہ جائیں؟ تو آیت «لا يستوي القاعدون من المؤمنين غير أولي الضرر» نازل ہوئی، اور اللہ تعالیٰ نے مجاہدین کو بیٹھے رہنے والوں پر ایک درجہ فضیلت دی ہے۔ ان بیٹھ رہنے والوں سے مراد اس آیت میں غیر معذور لوگ ہیں، باقی رہے معذور لوگ تو وہ مجاہدین کے برابر ہیں۔ اللہ نے مجاہدین کو بیٹھ رہنے والوں پر اجر عظیم کے ذریعہ فضیلت دی ہے۔ اور بیٹھ رہنے والے مومنین پر اپنی جانب سے ان کے درجے بڑھا کر فضیلت دی ہے۔ اور یہ بیٹھ رہنے والے مومنین وہ ہیں جو بیمار و معذور نہیں ہیں۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث اس سند سے ابن عباس رضی الله عنہما کی روایت سے حسن غریب ہے، ۲- مقسم کے بارے میں کہا جاتا ہے کہ یہ عبداللہ بن حارث کے آزاد کردہ غلام ہیں، اور یہ بھی کہا جاتا ہے کہ یہ ابن عباس کے آزاد کردہ غلام ہیں اور مقسم کی کنیت ابوالقاسم ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Miqsam, the freed slave of 'Abdullah bin Al-Harith: from Ibn 'Abbas that he said the Ayah: Not equal are those of the believers who sit, except those who are disabled... (4:95) is about Badr and those went out for Badr. At the time of the battle of Badr, 'Abdullah bin Jahsh and Ibn Umm Maktum said: 'We are blind O Messenger of Allah! So is there an exemption for us?' So the following was revealed: Not equal are those of the believers who sit except those who are disabled. But Allah has preferred those who strive hard and fight above those who sit (at home) by a huge reward (4:95). So these were the people who sat behind, that were not disabled: But Allah has preferred those who strive hard and fight, above those who sit (at home) by a huge reward - they are of levels above those who sit among the believers who did not have an excuse.
