حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُهَاجِرٍ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيَّ أَمَانَيْنِ لِأُمَّتِي وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَأَنْتَ فِيهِمْ سورة الأنفال آية 33 وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ سورة الأنفال آية 33 فَإِذَا مَضَيْتُ تَرَكْتُ فِيهِمُ الِاسْتِغْفَارَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُهَاجِرٍ يُضَعَّفُ فِي الْحَدِيثِ.

Urdu Translation

ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”میری امت کے لیے اللہ نے مجھ پر دو امان نازل فرمائے ہیں ( ایک ) «وما كان الله ليعذبهم وأنت فيهم» ”تمہارے موجود رہتے ہوئے اللہ انہیں عذاب سے دوچار نہ کرے گا“ ( الأنفال: ۳۳ ) ، ( دوسرا ) «وما كان الله معذبهم وهم يستغفرون» ”دوسرے جب وہ توبہ و استغفار کرتے رہیں گے تو بھی ان پر اللہ عذاب نازل نہ کرے گا“ ( الأنفال: ۳۳ ) ، اور جب میں ( اس دنیا سے ) چلا جاؤں گا تو ان کے لیے دوسرا امان استغفار قیامت تک چھوڑ جاؤں گا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث غریب ہے۔ ۲- اسماعیل بن مہاجر حدیث میں ضعیف مانے جاتے ہیں۔

English Translation

Narrated Abu Burdah bin Abi Musa: from his father, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Allah sent down two guarantees of safety for the benefit of my Ummah: And Allah would not punish them while you are among them, nor will He punish them while they seek forgiveness (8:33). So when I pass, I leave seeking forgiveness among them until the Day of Resurrection.
