حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏المعنى واحد واللفظ لِمُحَمَّدِ بن بشار، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي السَّدِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَحْفِرُونَهُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ حَتَّى إِذَا كَادُوا يَخْرِقُونَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِمْ:‏‏‏‏ ارْجِعُوا فَسَتَخْرِقُونَهُ غَدًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَيُعِيدُهُ اللَّهُ كَأَمْثَلِ مَا كَانَ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ مُدَّتَهُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَرَادَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَبْعَثَهُمْ عَلَى النَّاسِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِمْ:‏‏‏‏ ارْجِعُوا فَسَتَخْرِقُونَهُ غَدًا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ وَاسْتَثْنَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَيَرْجِعُونَ فَيَجِدُونَهُ كَهَيْئَتِهِ حِينَ تَرَكُوهُ فَيَخْرِقُونَهُ فَيَخْرُجُونَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَيَسْتَقُونَ الْمِيَاهَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيَفِرُّ النَّاسُ مِنْهُمْ فَيَرْمُونَ بِسِهَامِهِمْ فِي السَّمَاءِ فَتَرْجِعُ مُخَضَّبَةً بِالدِّمَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَيَقُولُونَ:‏‏‏‏ قَهَرْنَا مَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَعَلَوْنَا مَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ قَسْوَةً وَعُلُوًّا فَيَبْعَثُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَغَفًا فِي أَقْفَائِهِمْ فَيَهْلِكُونَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ إِنَّ دَوَابَّ الْأَرْضِ تَسْمَنُ وَتَبْطَرُ وَتَشْكَرُ شَكَرًا مِنْ لُحُومِهِمْ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنَّمَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ مِثْلَ هَذَا.

Urdu Translation

ابورافع، ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے مروی حدیث میں سے «سد» (سکندری) سے متعلق حصہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ   آپ نے فرمایا: ” ( یاجوج و ماجوج اور ان کی ذریت ) اسے ہر دن کھودتے ہیں، جب وہ اس میں شگاف ڈال دینے کے قریب پہنچ جاتے ہیں تو ان کا نگراں ( جو ان سے کام کرا رہا ہوتا ہے ) ان سے کہتا ہے: واپس چلو کل ہم اس میں سوراخ کر دیں گے، ادھر اللہ اسے پہلے زیادہ مضبوط و ٹھوس بنا دیتا ہے، پھر جب ان کی مدت پوری ہو جائے گی اور اللہ ان کو لوگوں تک لے جانے کا ارادہ کرے گا، اس وقت دیوار کھودنے والوں کا نگراں کہے گا: لوٹ جاؤ کل ہم اسے ان شاءاللہ توڑ دیں گے“، آپ نے فرمایا: ”پھر جب وہ ( اگلے روز ) لوٹ کر آئیں گے تو وہ اسے اسی حالت میں پائیں گے جس حالت میں وہ اسے چھوڑ کر گئے تھے ۱؎، پھر وہ اسے توڑ دیں گے، اور لوگوں پر نکل پڑیں گے ( ٹوٹ پڑیں گے ) سارا پانی پی جائیں گے، لوگ ان سے بچنے کے لیے بھاگیں گے، وہ اپنے تیر آسمان کی طرف پھیکیں گے، تیر خون میں ڈوبے ہوئے واپس آئیں گے، وہ کہیں گے کہ ہم زمین والوں پر غالب آ گئے اور آسمان والے سے بھی ہم قوت و بلندی میں بڑھ گئے ( یعنی اللہ تعالیٰ سے ) پھر اللہ تعالیٰ ان کی گردنوں میں ایک کیڑا پیدا کر دے گا جس سے وہ مر جائیں گے“، آپ نے فرمایا: ”قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس کے ہاتھ میں محمد کی جان ہے، زمین کے جانور ان کا گوشت کھا کھا کر موٹے ہو جائیں گے اور اینٹھتے پھریں گے“ ۲؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے، ہم اسے صرف اسی سند سے ایسے ہی جانتے ہیں۔

English Translation

Narrated Abu Rafi': a Hadith of Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet (ﷺ), regarding the 'barrier (18:93).' They excavated each day, until when they are just about to penetrate it, their leader says: 'Go back so that you can penetrate it tomorrow!' He said: But Allah makes it return just as it was, until their appointed time, when Allah ordains to send them upon the people, and their leader says: 'Go back so you can penetrate it tomorrow, if Allah wills.' So he makes this exception. He said: So they return, and find it just as it was when they left it. Then they penetrate it, and [they (Ya'juj & Ma'juj)] are released upon the people drinking up the water, and the people flee from them. They shoot their arrows into the heavens so they returned dyed with blood, and they say - crudely and arrogantly - 'We vanquished those in the earth, let us dominate the inhabitants of the heavens.' Then Allah sends Naghaf upon them, attaching to the nape of their necks, destroying them. He said: By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad! The beasts of the earth will become very fat and bloated with milk from their flesh.
