حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ أَبُو زَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ وَاصِلٍ الْأَحْدَبِ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَيُّ الذَّنْبِ أَعْظَمُ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ لِلَّهِ نِدًّا وَهُوَ خَلَقَكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنْ تَقْتُلَ وَلَدَكَ مِنْ أَجْلِ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ مَعَكَ أَوْ مِنْ طَعَامِكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنْ تَزْنِيَ بِحَلِيلَةِ جَارِكَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَتَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ:‏‏‏‏ وَالَّذِينَ لا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ وَلا يَقْتُلُونَ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلا بِالْحَقِّ وَلا يَزْنُونَ وَمَنْ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ يَلْقَ أَثَامًا ‏‏‏‏ 68 ‏‏‏‏ يُضَاعَفْ لَهُ الْعَذَابُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَيَخْلُدْ فِيهِ مُهَانًا ‏‏‏‏ 69 ‏‏‏‏ سورة الفرقان آية 68-69. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ سُفْيَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْأَعْمَشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ وَاصِلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لِأَنَّهُ زَادَ فِي إِسْنَادِهِ رَجُلًا.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا: کون سا گناہ بڑا ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”بڑا گناہ یہ ہے کہ تم کسی کو اللہ کا شریک ٹھہراؤ، جب کہ اسی نے تم کو پیدا کیا ہے، اور تم اپنے بیٹے کو اس ڈر سے مار ڈالو کہ وہ رہے گا تو تمہارے ساتھ کھائے پیئے گا، یا تمہارے کھانے میں سے کھائے گا، اور تم اپنے پڑوسی کی بیوی کے ساتھ زنا کرو، اور آپ نے یہ آیت پڑھی «والذين لا يدعون مع الله إلها آخر ولا يقتلون النفس التي حرم الله إلا بالحق ولا يزنون ومن يفعل ذلك يلق أثاما يضاعف له العذاب يوم القيامة ويخلد فيه مهانا» ”اللہ کے بندے وہ ہیں جو اللہ کے ساتھ کسی اور کو معبود جان کر نہیں پکارتے، اور کسی جان کو جس کا قتل اللہ نے حرام کر دیا ہے، ناحق ( یعنی بغیر قصاص وغیرہ ) قتل نہیں کرتے، اور زنا نہیں کرتے، اور جو ایسا کچھ کرے گا وہ اپنے گناہوں کی سزا سے دوچار ہو گا، قیامت کے دن عذاب دوچند ہو جائے گا اور اس میں ہمیشہ ذلیل و رسوا ہو کر رہے گا“ ( الفرقان: ۶۸-۶۹ ) ، ۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- سفیان کی وہ روایت جسے انہوں نے منصور اور اعمش سے روایت کی ہے، واصل کی روایت کے مقابلہ میں زیادہ صحیح ہے اس لیے کہ انہوں نے اس حدیث کی سند میں ایک راوی ( عمرو بن شرحبیل ) کا اضافہ کیا ہے ۱؎۔

English Translation

Narrated 'Abdullah: I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) which sin is the worst.' He said: 'That you make an equal to Allah while it is He who created you, that you kill your child so that he not eat with you - or because of your food, that you commit adultery with your neighbor's wife.' He said: And he recited this Ayah: 'And those who invoke not any other god along with Allah, nor kill such life as Allah has forbidden, except for what is required, nor commit illegal sexual intercourse - and whoever does that shall receive punishment. The torment will be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace (25:68 & 69).'
