دَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ مُوسَى الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ أَرْسَلَهُ إِلَى أَبِي جُهَيْمٍ يَسْأَلُهُ:‏‏‏‏ مَاذَا سَمِعَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْمَارِّ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الْمُصَلِّي ؟ فَقَالَ أَبُو جُهَيْمٍ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْمَارُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الْمُصَلِّي مَاذَا عَلَيْهِ لَكَانَ أَنْ يَقِفَ أَرْبَعِينَ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَمُرَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ قَالَ أَبُو النَّضْرِ:‏‏‏‏ لَا أَدْرِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا أَوْ شَهْرًا أَوْ سَنَةً. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ،‏‏‏‏ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍوَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَحَدِيثُ أَبِي جُهَيْمٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَأَنْ يَقِفَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِائَةَ عَامٍ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَمُرَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ أَخِيهِ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ كَرِهُوا الْمُرُورَ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الْمُصَلِّي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّ ذَلِكَ يَقْطَعُ صَلَاةَ الرَّجُلِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَاسْمُ أَبِي النَّضْرِ:‏‏‏‏ سَالِمٌ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ الْمَدِينِيِّ.

Urdu Translation

بسر بن سعید سے روایت ہے کہ   زید بن خالد جہنی نے انہیں ابوجہیم رضی الله عنہ کے پاس بھیجا تاکہ وہ ان سے یہ پوچھیں کہ انہوں نے مصلی کے آگے سے گزرنے والے کے بارے میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کیا سنا ہے؟ تو ابوجہیم رضی الله عنہ نے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ہے: اگر مصلی کے آگے سے گزرنے والا جان لے کہ اس پر کیا ( گناہ ) ہے تو اس کے لیے مصلی کے آگے سے گزرنے سے چالیس … تک کھڑا رہنا بہتر ہو گا۔ ابونضر سالم کہتے ہیں: مجھے نہیں معلوم کہ انہوں نے چالیس دن کہا، یا چالیس مہینے کہا یا چالیس سال۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابوجہیم رضی الله عنہ کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں ابو سعید خدری، ابوہریرہ، ابن عمر اور عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۳- نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے یہ بھی مروی ہے کہ آپ نے فرمایا: ”تم میں سے کسی کا سو سال کھڑے رہنا اس بات سے بہتر ہے کہ وہ اپنے بھائی کے سامنے سے گزرے اور وہ نماز پڑھ رہا ہو“، ۴- اہل علم کے نزدیک عمل اسی پر ہے، ان لوگوں نے نمازی کے آگے سے گزرنے کو مکروہ جانا ہے، لیکن ان کی یہ رائے نہیں کہ آدمی کی نماز کو باطل کر دے گا۔

English Translation

Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhni sent a message to Abu Juhaim asking him what he had heard from Allah's Messenger about passing in front of a person who was performing Salat. Abu Juhaim said : that Allah's Messenger said: If the one who passed in front of the person performing Salat knew what he was doing, then for him to stop (and wait for forty) would be better for him than to pass in front of him.
