Asma bint Yazid narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Allah's greatest name is in these two Ayah: ‘And your deity is One deity, there is none who has the right to be worshipped but He, Ar-Raḥmān, Ar-Raḥīm.’ And the Opening of Al-`Imrān: ‘Alif. Lām. Mīm. Allah, None has the right to be worshipped but He, the Ever living, the Sustainer.’”

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ الْقَدَّاحِ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ اسْمُ اللَّهِ الْأَعْظَمُ فِي هَاتَيْنِ الْآيَتَيْنِ:‏‏‏‏ وَإِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ الرَّحْمَنُ الرَّحِيمُ سورة البقرة آية 163 وَفَاتِحَةِ آلِ عِمْرَانَ:‏‏‏‏ الم ‏‏‏‏ 1 ‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُ لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ‏‏‏‏ 2 ‏‏‏‏ سورة آل عمران آية 1-2 . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

اسماء بنت یزید سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اللہ کا اسم اعظم ان دو آیتوں میں ہے ( ایک آیت ) «وإلهكم إله واحد لا إله إلا هو الرحمن الرحيم» ”تم سب کا معبود ایک ہی معبود برحق ہے، اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں ہے، وہ رحمن، رحیم ہے“ ( البقرہ: ۱۶۳ ) ، اور ( دوسری آیت ) آل عمران کی شروع کی آیت «الم الله لا إله إلا هو الحي القيوم» ہے ” «الم»،‏‏‏‏ اللہ تعالیٰ وہ ہے جس کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں، جو «حی» زندہ اور «قیوم» سب کا نگہبان ہے“ ( آل عمران: ۱-۲ ) ۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔
