Narrated Abu Hurairah: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Ask Allah to grant me Al-Wasilah. They said: O Messenger of Allah! And what is Al-Wasilah? He said: The highest level of Paradise. No one will attain it except for one man, and I hope that I am him.

حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الْثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنِي كَعْبٌ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ سَلُوا اللَّهَ لِيَ الْوَسِيلَةَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا الْوَسِيلَةُ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَعْلَى دَرَجَةٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ لَا يَنَالُهَا إِلَّا رَجُلٌ وَاحِدٌ أَرْجُو أَنْ أَكُونَ أَنَا هُوَ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا غَرِيبٌ إِسْنَادُهُ لَيْسَ بِالْقَوِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكَعْبٌ لَيْسَ هُوَ بِمَعْرُوفٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا رَوَى عَنْهُ غَيْرَ لَيْثِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اللہ سے میرے لیے وسیلہ کا سوال کرو، لوگوں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! وسیلہ کیا ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”یہ جنت کا سب سے اونچا درجہ ہے جسے صرف ایک ہی شخص پا سکتا ہے اور مجھے امید ہے کہ وہ میں ہوں گا“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث غریب ہے، اس کی سند زیادہ قوی نہیں ہے، ۲- کعب غیر معروف شخص ہیں، ہم لیث بن سلیم کے علاوہ کسی اور کو نہیں جانتے ہیں جس نے ان سے روایت کی ہو۔
