وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ جَزْءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مِثْلُ هَذَا. حَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْخَلَّالُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاق السَّيْلَحِينِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ جَزْءٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا كَانَ ضَحِكُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا تَبَسُّمًا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ لَيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن حارث بن جزء رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی ہنسی صرف مسکراہٹ ہوتی تھی ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث صحیح غریب ہے، ہم اسے صرف اسی سند سے لیث بن سعد کی روایت سے جانتے ہیں۔

English Translation

Narrated Ibn Jaz: The laughter of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was not but smiling.
