حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْأَشَجُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ:‏‏‏‏ أَلَسْتُ أَحَقَّ النَّاسِ بَهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَلَسْتُ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَلَسْتُ صَاحِبَ كَذَا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرَوَى بَعْضُهُمْ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ:‏‏‏‏ وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ.

Urdu Translation

ابو سعید خدری رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   ابوبکر رضی الله عنہ نے کہا: کیا میں وہ شخص نہیں ہوں جو سب سے پہلے اسلام لایا؟ کیا میں ایسی ایسی خوبیوں کا مالک نہیں ہوں؟ ۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث غریب ہے، ۲- بعض نے یہ حدیث شعبہ سے، شعبہ نے جریری سے، جریری نے ابونضرہ سے روایت کی ہے، وہ کہتے ہیں: ابوبکر نے کہا، اور یہ زیادہ صحیح ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri: that Abu Bakr said: Am I not the most deserving of it among the people, am I not the first to become Muslim, am I not the person of such and such, am I not the person of such and such.
