حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَال:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ يُحَدِّثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ رَاكِبٌ بَقَرَةً إِذْ قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ لَمْ أُخْلَقْ لِهَذَا إِنَّمَا خُلِقْتُ لِلْحَرْثِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ آمَنْتُ بِذَلِكَ أَنَا،‏‏‏‏ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَعُمَرُ . قَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ:‏‏‏‏ وَمَا هُمَا فِي الْقَوْمِ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ.

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اس دوران کہ ایک شخص ایک گائے پر سوار تھا اچانک وہ گائے بول پڑی کہ میں اس کے لیے نہیں پیدا کی گئی ہوں، میں تو کھیت جوتنے کے لیے پیدا کی گئی ہوں ( یہ کہہ کر ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”میرا اس پر ایمان ہے اور ابوبکر و عمر کا بھی، ابوسلمہ کہتے ہیں: حالانکہ وہ دونوں اس دن وہاں لوگوں میں موجود نہیں تھے“، واللہ اعلم ۱؎۔

English Translation

Narrated Abu Salamah bin 'Abdur-Rahman: from Abu Hurairah, who said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: While a man was riding a cow it said: I was not created for this, I was only created to till.' So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: I believe in that, myself, and Abu Bakr, 'Umar. Abu Salamah said: And the two of them were not among the people that day [and Allah knows best].
