حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ مُوسَى الْفَزَارِيُّ ابْنُ بِنْتِ السُّدِّيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ اللَّهَ أَمَرَنِي بِحُبِّ أَرْبَعَةٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ يُحِبُّهُمْ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قِيلَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ سَمِّهِمْ لَنَا ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ عَلِيٌّ مِنْهُمْ يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ ثَلَاثًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبُو ذَرٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْمِقْدَادُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَسَلْمَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَمَرَنِي بِحُبِّهِمْ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ يُحِبُّهُمْ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ شَرِيكٍ.

Urdu Translation

بریدہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اللہ نے مجھے چار شخصوں سے محبت کا حکم دیا ہے، اور مجھے بتایا ہے کہ وہ بھی ان سے محبت کرتا ہے“، عرض کیا گیا: اللہ کے رسول! ہمیں ان کا نام بتا دیجئیے، آپ نے فرمایا: ”علی انہیں میں سے ہیں“، آپ اس جملہ کو تین بار دہرا رہے تھے ”اور باقی تین: ابوذر، مقداد اور سلمان ہیں، مجھے اللہ نے ان لوگوں سے محبت کرنے کا حکم دیا ہے، اور مجھے اس نے بتایا ہے کہ وہ بھی ان لوگوں سے محبت رکھتا ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے، ہم اسے صرف شریک کی روایت سے جانتے ہیں۔

English Translation

Narrated Buraidah: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Indeed Allah has ordered me to love four, and He informed me that He loves them. It was said: O Messenger of Allah! Name them for us. He said: 'Ali is among them, saying that three times, And Abu Dharr, Al-Miqdad, and Salman. And He ordered me to love them, and He informed me that He loves them.
