حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَاللَّفْظُ لِابْنِ يَعْقُوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْتَعْمَلَهُ عَلَى جَيْشِ ذَاتِ السُّلَاسِلِ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَأَتَيْتُهُ،‏‏‏‏ فَقُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيُّ النَّاسِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْكَ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ عَائِشَةُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَبُوهَا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

Urdu Translation

عمرو بن العاص رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں لشکر ذات السلاسل کا امیر مقرر کیا، وہ کہتے ہیں: تو میں آپ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! لوگوں میں آپ کو سب سے زیادہ محبوب کون ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”عائشہ“، میں نے پوچھا: مردوں میں کون ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”ان کے باپ“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated 'Amr bin Al-'As: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) appointed him as a leader of the army of Dhatis-Salasil. He said: So I went to him and said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Who is the most beloved to you among the people?' He said: ''Aishah.' I said: 'From the men?' He said: 'Her father.'
