حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ خَيْرُكُمْ خَيْرُكُمْ لِأَهْلِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنَا خَيْرُكُمْ لِأَهْلِي،‏‏‏‏ وَإِذَا مَاتَ صَاحِبُكُمْ فَدَعُوهُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مَا أَقَلَّ مَنْ رَوَاهُ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرُوِيَ هَذَا عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُرْسَلٌ.

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تم میں سے بہتر وہ ہے جو اپنے گھر والوں کے لیے بہتر ہو اور میں اپنے گھر والوں کے لیے سب سے بہتر ہوں اور جب تم میں سے کوئی مر جائے تو اسے خیر باد کہہ دو، یعنی اس کی برائیوں کو یاد نہ کرو“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث ثوری کی روایت سے حسن غریب صحیح ہے اور ثوری سے روایت کرنے والے اسے کتنے کم لوگ ہیں اور یہ حدیث ہشام بن عروہ سے عروہ کے واسطہ سے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے مرسلاً بھی آئی ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated 'Aishah: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The best of you is the best to his wives, and I am the best of you to my wives, and when your companion dies, leave him alone.
