حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو السَّائِبِ سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ خَيْرُ الْأَنْصَارِ بَنُو عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.

Urdu Translation

جابر عبداللہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”انصار میں سب سے بہتر بنی عبدالاشہل ہیں“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث اس سند سے غریب ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Jabir [bin 'Abdullah]: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The best of the Ansar are Banu 'Abdul-Ashhal.
