حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَسْلَمُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَغِفَارٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمُزَيْنَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏خَيْرٌ مِنْ تَمِيمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَسَدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَغَطَفَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَبَنِي عَامِرِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَمُدُّ بِهَا صَوْتَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ الْقَوْمُ:‏‏‏‏ قَدْ خَابُوا وَخَسِرُوا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَهُمْ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُمْ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

Urdu Translation

ابوبکرہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”قبائل اسلم، غفار اور مزینہ، قبائل تمیم، اسد، غطفان اور بنی عامر بن صعصعہ سے بہتر ہیں“، اور آپ اس کے ساتھ اپنی آواز اونچی کر رہے تھے، تو لوگ کہنے لگے: نامراد ہوئے اور خسارے میں رہے، آپ نے فرمایا: ”وہ ان ( قبائل یعنی تمیم، اسد، غطفان اور بنی عامر بن صعصعہ ) سے بہتر ہیں“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Abu Bakrah: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Aslam, Ghifar, and Muzainah are better than Tamim, Asad, Ghatafan, and Banu 'Amir bin Sa'sa'ah, prolonging his voice when saying it. So the people said: They have been treacherous and have lost. He said: So these are better than them.
