Baab Nawafil Aur Sunnaton Ke Ehkaam O Masail

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُصَلِّي بَعْدَ الْجُمُعَةِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ جَابِرٍ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عُمَرَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ. وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَيْضًا. وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ بَعْضِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَبِهِ يَقُولُ الشَّافِعِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَحْمَدُ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جمعہ کے بعد دو رکعت ( سنت ) پڑھتے تھے ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابن عمر رضی الله عنہما کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں جابر رضی الله عنہ سے بھی روایت ہے، ۳- یہ حدیث بطریق «نافع عن ابن عمر» ہے، ۴- اسی پر بعض اہل علم کا عمل ہے، اور یہی شافعی اور احمد بھی کہتے ہیں۔

English Translation

Salim narrated from his father: The Prophet would pray two Rak;ah after the Friday prayer.
