Baab Zakat Ke Ehkaam O Masail

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ آلَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ شَهْرًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَقَامَ فِي مَشْرُبَةٍ تِسْعًا وَعِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ آلَيْتَ شَهْرًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الشَّهْرُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

Urdu Translation

انس رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنی بیویوں سے ایک ماہ کے لیے ایلاء کیا ( یعنی اپنی بیویوں سے نہ ملنے کی قسم کھائی ) پھر آپ نے اپنے بالاخانے میں ۲۹ دن قیام کیا ( پھر آپ اپنی بیویوں کے پاس آئے ) تو لوگوں نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! آپ نے تو ایک مہینے کا ایلاء کیا تھا؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”مہینہ ۲۹ دن کا ( بھی ) ہوتا ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

English Translation

Anas narrated: The Messenger of Allah vowed to stay away from his wives for a month, so he stayed in a loft for twenty-nine days. They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, your vow was for a month,' so he said: 'The month is twenty-nine (days).'
