حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ مَا رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصُومُ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ إِلَّا شَعْبَانَ وَرَمَضَانَ . وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عَائِشَةَ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ أَيْضًا عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ مَا رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي شَهْرٍ أَكْثَرَ صِيَامًا مِنْهُ فِي شَعْبَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏كَانَ يَصُومُهُ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا بَلْ كَانَ يَصُومُهُ كُلَّهُ .

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین ام سلمہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   میں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو لگاتار دو مہینوں کے روزے رکھتے نہیں دیکھا سوائے شعبان ۱؎ اور رمضان کے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ام سلمہ رضی الله عنہا کی حدیث حسن ہے، ۲- اس باب میں ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا سے بھی روایت ہے، ۳- اور یہ حدیث ابوسلمہ سے بروایت عائشہ بھی مروی ہے وہ کہتی ہیں کہ میں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو شعبان سے زیادہ کسی مہینے میں روزے رکھتے نہیں دیکھا، آپ شعبان کے سارے روزے رکھتے، سوائے چند دنوں کے بلکہ پورے ہی شعبان روزے رکھتے تھے۔

English Translation

Umm Salamah narrated: I did not see the Prophet fasting two consecutive months except for Sha'ban and Ramadan.
