Ibn Umar narrated that: A man said: Where should we begin our Hil (Ihram) O Messenger of Allah? He said: The people of Al-Madinah begin their Hil (Ihram) from Dhul-Hulaifah, the people from Ash-Sham from Al-Juhfah, and the people of Najd from Qarn. And he (Ibn Umar) said: ( And they say:) And the people of Yemen from Yalamlam.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مِنْ أَيْنَ نُهِلُّ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنْ الْجُحْفَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَيَقُولُونَ:‏‏‏‏ وَأَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ. قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَجَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عُمَرَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ.

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ   ایک شخص نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! ہم احرام کہاں سے باندھیں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”اہل مدینہ ذی الحلیفہ ۲؎ سے احرام باندھیں، اہل شام جحفہ ۳؎ سے اور اہل نجد قرن سے ۴؎۔ اور لوگوں کا کہنا ہے کہ اہل یمن یلملم سے ۵؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابن عمر کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں ابن عباس، جابر بن عبداللہ اور عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۳- اہل علم کا اسی پر عمل ہے۔
