Baab Amaal Hajj Aur Is Ky Ahkam O Masail

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ ابْنِ الْهَادِ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ سَرْجِسَ، عَنْ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ بِالْمَوْتِ وَعِنْدَهُ قَدَحٌ فِيهِ مَاءٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ يُدْخِلُ يَدَهُ فِي الْقَدَحِ ثُمَّ يَمْسَحُ وَجْهَهُ بِالْمَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى غَمَرَاتِ الْمَوْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وسَكَرَاتِ الْمَوْتِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ.

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دیکھا کہ آپ سکرات کے عالم میں تھے، آپ کے پاس ایک پیالہ تھا، جس میں پانی تھا، آپ پیالے میں اپنا ہاتھ ڈالتے پھر اپنے چہرے پر ملتے اور فرماتے: «اللهم أعني على غمرات الموت أو سكرات الموت» ”اے اللہ! سکرات الموت میں میری مدد فرما“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے۔

English Translation

Aishah narrated: I saw the Messenger of Allah while he was dying. He had a cup with water in it, he put his hand in the cup then wiped his face with the water, then said: 'O Allah! Help me with the throes of death and the agony of death.'
