Baab Namaz E Witr Ke Masail Ke Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جُوَيْرِيَةُ بْنُ أَسْمَاءَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي السَّفَرِ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ حَيْثُ تَوَجَّهَتْ بِهِ يُومِئُ إِيمَاءً صَلَاةَ اللَّيْلِ إِلَّا الْفَرَائِضَ وَيُوتِرُ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے جویریہ بن اسماء نے بیان کیا، ان سے نافع نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سفر میں اپنی سواری ہی پر رات کی نماز اشاروں سے پڑھ لیتے تھے خواہ سواری کا رخ کسی طرف ہو جاتا آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اشاروں سے پڑھتے رہتے مگر فرائض اس طرح نہیں پڑھتے تھے اور وتر اپنی اونٹنی پر پڑھ لیتے۔

English Translation

Narrated Ibn `Umar: The Prophet used to offer (Nawafil) prayers on his Rahila (mount) facing its direction by signals, but not the compulsory prayer. He also used to pray witr on his (mount) Rahila.
