Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, When anyone of you stands for the prayers, Satan comes and puts him in doubts till he forgets how many rak`at he has prayed. So if this happens to anyone of you, he should perform two prostrations of Sahu while sitting.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا قَامَ يُصَلِّي جَاءَ الشَّيْطَانُ فَلَبَسَ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى لَا يَدْرِيَ كَمْ صَلَّى ، فَإِذَا وَجَدَ ذَلِكَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ .

ہم سے عبداللہ بن یوسف تنیسی نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم کو امام مالک رحمہ اللہ نے خبر دی، انہیں ابن شہاب نے، انہیں ابوسلمہ بن عبدالرحمٰن نے اور انہیں ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ تم میں سے جب کوئی نماز پڑھنے کے لیے کھڑا ہوتا ہے تو شیطان آ کر اس کی نماز میں شبہ پیدا کر دیتا ہے پھر اسے یہ بھی یاد نہیں رہتا کہ کتنی رکعتیں پڑھیں۔ تم میں سے جب کسی کو ایسا اتفاق ہو تو بیٹھے بیٹھے دو سجدے کر لے۔
