Baab Khareed O Farookht Ke Masail Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ . ح حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطٌ أَبُو الْيَسَعِ الْبَصْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتَوَائِيُّ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّهُ مَشَى إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِخُبْزِ شَعِيرٍ وَإِهَالَةٍ سَنِخَةٍ ، وَلَقَدْ رَهَنَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، دِرْعًا لَهُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ عِنْدَ يَهُودِيٍّ ، وَأَخَذَ مِنْهُ شَعِيرًا لِأَهْلِهِ ، وَلَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : مَا أَمْسَى عِنْدَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَاعُ ، بُرٍّ وَلَا صَاعُ حَبٍّ ، وَإِنَّ عِنْدَهُ لَتِسْعَ نِسْوَةٍ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے مسلم بن ابراہیم نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے ہشام نے بیان کیا، ان سے قتادہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے (دوسری سند) اور مجھ سے محمد بن عبداللہ بن حوشب نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے اسباط ابوالیسع بصریٰ نے، کہا کہ ہم سے ہشام دستوائی نے، انہوں نے قتادہ سے، انہوں نے انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہ   وہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں جَو کی روٹی اور بدبودار چربی ( سالن کے طور پر ) لے گئے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس وقت اپنی زرہ مدینہ میں ایک یہودی کے یہاں گروی رکھی تھی اور اس سے اپنے گھر والوں کے لیے قرض لیا تھا۔ میں نے خود آپ کو یہ فرماتے سنا کہ محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے گھرانے میں کوئی شام ایسی نہیں آئی جس میں ان کے پاس ایک صاع گیہوں یا ایک صاع کوئی غلہ موجود رہا ہو، حالانکہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی گھر والیوں کی تعداد نو تھی۔

English Translation

Narrated Qatada: Anas went to the Prophet with barley bread having some dissolved fat on it. The Prophet had mortgaged his armor to a Jew in Medina and took from him some barley for his family. Anas heard him saying, The household of Muhammad did not possess even a single Sa of wheat or food grains for the evening meal, although he has nine wives to look after. (See Hadith No. 685)
