Narrated Ibn `Umar: Allah's Apostle forbade Muzabana; and Muzabana is the selling of fresh dates for dried old dates by measure, and the selling of fresh grapes for dried grapes by measure.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ الْمُزَابَنَةِ وَالْمُزَابَنَةُ بَيْعُ الثَّمَرِ بِالتَّمْرِ كَيْلًا ، وَبَيْعُ الزَّبِيبِ بِالْكَرْمِ كَيْلًا .

ہم سے اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے امام مالک نے بیان کیا، ان سے نافع نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مزابنہ سے منع فرمایا، مزابنہ یہ کہ درخت پر لگی ہوئی کھجور خشک کھجور کے بدلہ ماپ کر کے بیچی جائے۔ اسی طرح بیل پر لگے ہوئے انگور کو منقیٰ کے بدل بیچنا۔
