Baab Khareed O Farookht Ke Masail Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَلَّى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الرَّازِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا ، وَعَنِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى يَزْهُوَ ، قِيلَ : وَمَا يَزْهُو ؟ قَالَ : يَحْمَارُّ أَوْ يَصْفَارُّ .

Urdu Translation

مجھ سے علی بن ہشیم نے بیان کیا کہ ہم سے معلی بن منصور نے بیان کیا، ان سے ہشیم نے بیان کیا، انہیں حمید نے خبر دی اور ان سے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پختہ ہونے سے پہلے پھلوں کو بیچنے سے منع فرمایا ہے اور کھجور کے باغ کو «زهو» سے پہلے بیچنے سے منع فرمایا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا گیا کہ «زهو» کسے کہتے ہیں تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے جواب دیا مائل بہ سرخی یا مائل بہ زردی ہونے کو کہتے ہیں۔

English Translation

Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet forbade the sale of fruits till their benefit is evident; and the sale of date palms till the dates are almost ripe. He was asked what 'are almost ripe' meant. He replied, Got red and yellow.
