Narrated Al-Araj: Abu Huraira said, Allah's Apostle said, 'No one should prevent his neighbor from fixing a wooden peg in his wall. Abu Huraira said (to his companions), Why do I find you averse to it? By Allah, I certainly will narrate it to you.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : لَا يَمْنَعْ جَارٌ جَارَهُ أَنْ يَغْرِزَ خَشَبَهُ فِي جِدَارِهِ ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : مَا لِي أَرَاكُمْ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ ، وَاللَّهِ لَأَرْمِيَنَّ بِهَا بَيْنَ أَكْتَافِكُمْ .

ہم سے عبداللہ بن مسلمہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے امام مالک رحمہ اللہ نے، ان سے ابن شہاب نے، ان سے اعرج نے، اور ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، کوئی شخص اپنے پڑوسی کو اپنی دیوار میں کھونٹی گاڑنے سے نہ روکے۔ پھر ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہا کرتے تھے، یہ کیا بات ہے کہ میں تمہیں اس سے منہ پھیرنے والا پاتا ہوں۔ قسم اللہ! اس کھونٹی کو تمہارے کندھوں کے درمیان گاڑ دوں گا۔
