Baab Rehen Ke Bayan Main

حَدَّثَنَا خَلَّادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ قَالَ : كَتَبْتُ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، فَكَتَبَ إِلَيَّ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَضَى أَنَّ الْيَمِينَ عَلَى الْمُدَّعَى عَلَيْهِ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے خلاد بن یحییٰ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے نافع بن عمر نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابن ابی ملیکہ نے کہ میں نے عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کی خدمت میں ( دو عورتوں کے مقدمہ میں ) لکھا تو اس کے جواب میں انہوں نے تحریر فرمایا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فیصلہ کیا تھا کہ ( اگر مدعی گواہ نہ پیش کر سکے ) تو مدعیٰ علیہ سے قسم لی جائے گی۔

English Translation

Narrated Ibn Abu Mulaika: I wrote a letter to Ibn `Abbas and he wrote to me that the Prophet had given the verdict that the defendant had to take an oath.
