Baab Ghulamon Ki Azadi Ke Bayan Main

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ فَعَلَيْهِ عِتْقُهُ كُلُّهُ إِنْ كَانَ لَهُ مَالٌ يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَهُ ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ يُقَوَّمُ عَلَيْهِ قِيمَةَ عَدْلٍ ، فَأُعْتِقَ مِنْهُ مَا أَعْتَقَ . حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرٌ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ اخْتَصَرَهُ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے عبید بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابواسامہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے عبیداللہ نے، ان سے نافع نے اور ان سے ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا جس نے کسی مشترک غلام کے اپنے حصے کو آزاد کیا اور اس کے پاس غلام کی پوری قیمت ادا کرنے کے لیے مال بھی ہے تو پورا غلام اسے آزاد کرانا لازم ہے لیکن اگر اس کے پاس اتنا مال نہ ہو جس سے پورے غلام کی صحیح قیمت ادا کی جا سکے۔ تو پھر غلام کا جو حصہ آزاد ہو گیا وہی آزاد ہوا۔ ہم سے مسدد نے بیان کیا، ان سے بشر نے بیان کیا اور ان سے عبیداللہ نے اختصار کے ساتھ۔

English Translation

Narrated Ibn `Umar: Allah's Apostle said, Whoever manumits his share of a slave, then it is essential for him to get that slave manumitted' completely as long as he has the money to do so. If he has not sufficient money to pay the price of the other shares (after the price of the slave is evaluated justly), the manumitted manumits the slave partially in proportion to his share.
