Baab Gawahon Ke Mutaliq Masail Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، قَالَ : تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً ، فَجَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ ، فَقَالَتْ : إِنِّي قَدْ أَرْضَعْتُكُمَا ، فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : وَكَيْفَ وَقَدْ قِيلَ دَعْهَا عَنْكَ أَوْ نَحْوَهُ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے ابوعاصم نے بیان کیا عمر بن سعید سے، وہ ابن ابی ملیکہ سے، ان سے عقبہ بن حارث رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ   میں نے ایک عورت سے شادی کی تھی۔ پھر ایک عورت آئی اور کہنے لگی کہ میں نے تم دونوں کو دودھ پلایا تھا۔ اس لیے میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”جب تمہیں بتا دیا گیا ( کہ ایک ہی عورت تم دونوں کی دودھ کی ماں ہے ) تو پھر اب اور کیا صورت ہو سکتی ہے اپنی بیوی کو اپنے سے جدا کر دے۔“ یا اسی طرح کے الفاظ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمائے۔

English Translation

Narrated `Uqba bin Al-Harith: I married a woman and later on a woman came and said, I suckled you both. So, I went to the Prophet (to ask him about it). He said, How can you (keep her as a wife) when it has been said (that you were foster brother and sister)? Leave (divorce) her.
