حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرُ الْحَوْضِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : بَعَثَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَقْوَامًا مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ إِلَى بَنِي عَامِرٍ فِي سَبْعِينَ ، فَلَمَّا قَدِمُوا ، قَالَ : لَهُمْ خَالِي أَتَقَدَّمُكُمْ فَإِنْ أَمَّنُونِي حَتَّى أُبَلِّغَهُمْ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّه صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَإِلَّا كُنْتُمْ مِنِّي قَرِيبًا فَتَقَدَّمَ فَأَمَّنُوهُ فَبَيْنَمَا يُحَدِّثُهُمْ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذْ أَوْمَئُوا إِلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ فَطَعَنَهُ فَأَنْفَذَهُ ، فَقَالَ : اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ فُزْتُ وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ ثُمَّ مَالُوا عَلَى بَقِيَّةِ أَصْحَابِهِ ، فَقَتَلُوهُمْ إِلَّا رَجُلًا أَعْرَجَ صَعِدَ الْجَبَلَ ، قَالَ هَمَّامٌ : فَأُرَاهُ آخَرَ مَعَهُ ، فَأَخْبَرَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُمْ قَدْ لَقُوا رَبَّهُمْ فَرَضِيَ عَنْهُمْ وَأَرْضَاهُمْ ، فَكُنَّا نَقْرَأُ أَنْ بَلِّغُوا قَوْمَنَا أَنْ قَدْ لَقِينَا رَبَّنَا فَرَضِيَ عَنَّا وَأَرْضَانَا ، ثُمَّ نُسِخَ بَعْدُ فَدَعَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَرْبَعِينَ صَبَاحًا عَلَى رِعْلٍ وَذَكْوَانَ ، وَبَنِي لَحْيَانَ ، وَبَنِي عُصَيَّةَ الَّذِينَ عَصَوْا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے حفص بن عمر حوضی نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے ہمام نے ان سے اسحاق نے اور ان سے انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بنو سلیم کے ( 70 ) ستر آدمی ( جو قاری تھے ) بنو عامر کے یہاں بھیجے۔ جب یہ سب حضرات ( بئرمعونہ پر ) پہنچے تو میرے ماموں حرام بن ملحان رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا میں ( بنو سلیم کے یہاں ) آگے جاتا ہوں اگر مجھے انہوں نے اس بات کا امن دے دیا کہ میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی باتیں ان تک پہنچاؤں تو۔ بہتر ورنہ تم لوگ میرے قریب تو ہو ہی۔ چنانچہ وہ ان کے یہاں گئے اور انہوں نے امن بھی دے دیا۔ ابھی وہ قبیلہ کے لوگوں کو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی باتیں سنا ہی رہے تھے کہ قبیلہ والوں نے اپنے ایک آدمی ( عامر بن طفیل ) کو اشارہ کیا اور اس نے آپ رضی اللہ عنہ کے جسم پر برچھا پیوست کر دیا جو آرپار ہو گیا۔ اس وقت ان کی زبان سے نکلا اللہ اکبر میں کامیاب ہو گیا کعبہ کے رب کی قسم! اس کے بعد قبیلہ والے حرام رضی اللہ عنہ کے دوسرے ساتھیوں کی طرف ( جو ستر کی تعداد میں تھے ) بڑھے اور سب کو قتل کر دیا۔ البتہ ایک صاحب جو لنگڑے تھے ‘ پہاڑ پر چڑھ گئے۔ ہمام ( راوی حدیث ) نے بیان کیا میں سمجھتا ہوں کہ ایک اور ان کے ساتھ ( پہاڑ پر چڑھے تھے ) ( عمر بن امیہ ضمری ) اس کے بعد جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو خبر دی کہ آپ کے ساتھی اللہ تعالیٰ سے جا ملے ہیں پس اللہ خود بھی ان سے خوش ہے اور انہیں بھی خوش کر دیا ہے۔ اس کے بعد ہم ( قرآن کی دوسری آیتوں کے ساتھ یہ آیت بھی ) پڑھتے تھے ( ترجمہ ) ہماری قوم کے لوگوں کو یہ پیغام پہنچا دو کہ ہم اپنے رب سے آ ملے ہیں ‘ پس ہمارا رب خود بھی خوش ہے اور ہمیں بھی خوش کر دیا ہے۔ اس کے بعد یہ آیت منسوخ ہو گئی ‘ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے چالیس دن تک صبح کی نماز میں قبیلہ رعل ‘ ذکوان ‘ بنی لحیان اور بنی عصیہ کے لیے بددعا کی تھی جنہوں نے اللہ اور اس کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی نافرمانی کی تھی۔

English Translation

Narrated Anas: The Prophet sent seventy men from the tribe of Bani Salim to the tribe of Bani Amir. When they reached there, my maternal uncle said to them, I will go ahead of you, and if they allow me to convey the message of Allah's Apostle (it will be all right); otherwise you will remain close to me. So he went ahead of them and the pagans granted him security But while he was reporting the message of the Prophet , they beckoned to one of their men who stabbed him to death. My maternal uncle said, Allah is Greater! By the Lord of the Ka`ba, I am successful. After that they attached the rest of the party and killed them all except a lame man who went up to the top of the mountain. (Hammam, a sub-narrator said, I think another man was saved along with him). Gabriel informed the Prophet that they (i.e the martyrs) met their Lord, and He was pleased with them and made them pleased. We used to recite, Inform our people that we have met our Lord, He is pleased with us and He has made us pleased Later on this Qur'anic Verse was cancelled. The Prophet invoked Allah for forty days to curse the murderers from the tribe of Ral, Dhakwan, Bani Lihyan and Bam Usaiya who disobeyed Allah and his Apostle.
