Baab Jihad Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : اسْتَأْذَنْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْجِهَادِ ، فَقَالَ : جِهَادُكُنَّ الْحَجُّ ، وَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بِهَذَا ، حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بِهَذَا .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے محمد بن کثیر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو سفیان ثوری نے خبر دی، انہیں معاویہ ابن اسحاق نے، انہیں عائشہ بنت طلحہ نے اور ان سے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے جہاد کی اجازت چاہی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ تمہارا جہاد حج ہے۔ اور عبداللہ بن ولید نے بیان کیا کہ ہم سے سفیان ثوری نے بیان کیا اور ان سے معاویہ نے یہی حدیث نقل کی۔

English Translation

Narrated `Aisha: the mother of the faithful believers, I requested the Prophet permit me to participate in Jihad, but he said, Your Jihad is the performance of Hajj.
