Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Prophet used to seek Refuge with Allah for Al-Hasan and Al-Husain and say: Your forefather (i.e. Abraham) used to seek Refuge with Allah for Ishmael and Isaac by reciting the following: 'O Allah! I seek Refuge with Your Perfect Words from every devil and from poisonous pests and from every evil, harmful, envious eye.'

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ الْمِنْهَالِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُعَوِّذُ الْحَسَنَ وَالْحُسَيْنَ ، وَيَقُولُ : إِنَّ أَبَاكُمَا كَانَ يُعَوِّذُ بِهَا إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ .

ہم سے عثمان بن ابی شیبہ نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے جریر نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے منصور نے ‘ ان سے منہال نے ‘ ان سے سعید بن جبیر نے اور ان سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم حسن و حسین رضی اللہ عنہما کے لیے پناہ طلب کیا کرتے تھے اور فرماتے تھے کہ تمہارے بزرگ دادا ( ابراہیم علیہ السلام ) بھی ان کلمات کے ذریعہ اللہ کی پناہ اسماعیل اور اسحاق علیہ السلام کے لیے مانگا کرتے تھے۔ «أعوذ بكلمات الله التامة من كل شيطان وهامة،‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ومن كل عين لامة» ”میں پناہ مانگتا ہوں اللہ کے پورے پورے کلمات کے ذریعہ ہر ایک شیطان سے اور ہر زہریلے جانور سے اور ہر نقصان پہنچانے والی نظر بد سے۔“
