حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ إِذَا حَدَّثْتُكُمْ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَأَنْ أَخِرَّ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَكْذِبَ عَلَيْهِ ، وَإِذَا حَدَّثْتُكُمْ فِيمَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ فَإِنَّ الْحَرْبَ خَدْعَةٌ ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : يَأْتِي فِي آخِرِ الزَّمَانِ قَوْمٌ حُدَثَاءُ الْأَسْنَانِ سُفَهَاءُ الْأَحْلَامِ ، يَقُولُونَ : مِنْ خَيْرِ قَوْلِ الْبَرِيَّةِ يَمْرُقُونَ مِنَ الْإِسْلَامِ كَمَا يَمْرُقُ السَّهْمُ مِنَ الرَّمِيَّةِ لَا يُجَاوِزُ إِيمَانُهُمْ حَنَاجِرَهُمْ فَأَيْنَمَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ فَاقْتُلُوهُمْ فَإِنَّ قَتْلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ لِمَنْ قَتَلَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے محمد بن کثیر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو سفیان نے خبر دی انہیں اعمش نے، انہیں خیثمہ نے، ان سے سوید بن غفلہ نے بیان کیا کہ   علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا، جب تم سے کوئی بات رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے حوالہ سے میں بیان کروں تو یہ سمجھو کہ میرے لیے آسمان سے گر جانا اس سے بہتر ہے کہ میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر کوئی جھوٹ باندھوں البتہ جب میں اپنی طرف سے کوئی بات تم سے کہوں تو لڑائی تو تدبیر اور فریب ہی کا نام ہے ( اس میں کوئی بات بنا کر کہوں تو ممکن ہے ) ۔ دیکھو میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فرماتے تھے کہ آخر زمانہ میں کچھ لوگ ایسے پیدا ہوں گے جو چھوٹے چھوٹے دانتوں والے، کم عقل اور بیوقوف ہوں گے۔ باتیں وہ کہیں گے جو دنیا کی بہترین بات ہو گی۔ لیکن اسلام سے اس طرح صاف نکل چکے ہوں گے جیسے تیر جانور کے پار نکل جاتا ہے۔ ان کا ایمان ان کے حلق سے نیچے نہیں اترے گا، تم انہیں جہاں بھی پاؤ قتل کر دو، کیونکہ ان کے قتل سے قاتل کو قیامت کے دن ثواب ملے گا۔

English Translation

Narrated `Ali: I relate the traditions of Allah's Apostle to you for I would rather fall from the sky than attribute something to him falsely. But when I tell you a thing which is between you and me, then no doubt, war is guile. I heard Allah's Apostle saying, In the last days of this world there will appear some young foolish people who will use (in their claim) the best speech of all people (i.e. the Qur'an) and they will abandon Islam as an arrow going through the game. Their belief will not go beyond their throats (i.e. they will have practically no belief), so wherever you meet them, kill them, for he who kills them shall get a reward on the Day of Resurrection.
