وَقَالَ عَبْدَانُ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنِي عُرْوَةُ ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : جَاءَتْ هِنْدٌ بِنْتُ عُتْبَةَ ، قَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا كَانَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْأَرْضِ مِنْ أَهْلِ خِبَاءٍ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ أَنْ يَذِلُّوا مِنْ أَهْلِ خِبَائِكَ ، ثُمَّ مَا أَصْبَحَ الْيَوْمَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْأَرْضِ أَهْلُ خِبَاءٍ أَحَبَّ إِلَيَّ ، أَنْ يَعِزُّوا مِنْ أَهْلِ خِبَائِكَ ، قَالَ : وَأَيْضًا وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ، قَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ رَجُلٌ مِسِّيكٌ فَهَلْ عَلَيَّ حَرَجٌ أَنْ أُطْعِمَ مِنَ الَّذِي لَهُ عِيَالَنَا ، قَالَ : لَا أُرَاهُ إِلَّا بِالْمَعْرُوفِ

Urdu Translation

اور عبدان نے بیان کیا، انہیں عبداللہ نے خبر دی انہیں یونس نے خبر دی، انہیں زہری نے، ان سے عروہ نے بیان کیا کہ   عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا: ہند بنت عتبہ رضی اللہ عنہا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں اسلام لانے کے بعد ) حاضر ہوئیں اور کہنے لگیں یا رسول اللہ! روئے زمین پر کسی گھرانے کی ذلت آپ کے گھرانے کی ذلت سی زیادہ میرے لیے خوشی کا باعث نہیں تھی لیکن آج کسی گھرانے کی عزت روئے زمین پر آپ کے گھرانے کی عزت سے زیادہ میرے لیے خوشی کی وجہ نہیں ہے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”اس میں ابھی اور ترقی ہو گی۔ اس ذات کی قسم! جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے“ پھر ہند نے کہا: یا رسول اللہ! ابوسفیان بہت بخیل ہیں تو کیا اس میں کچھ حرج ہے اگر میں ان کے مال میں سے ( ان کی اجازت کے بغیر ) بال بچوں کو کھلا دیا اور پلا دیا کروں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فرمایا ہاں لیکن میں سمجھتا ہوں کہ یہ دستور کے مطابق ہونا چاہئے۔

English Translation

Narrated 'Aishah (ra): Hind bint 'Utba came and said, O Allah's Messenger! (Before I embraced Islam) there was no family on the surface of the earth I wished to see in degradation more than I did your family, but today there is no family on the surface of the earth I wish to see honored more than I did yours. The Prophet (saws) said, I thought similarly, by Him in whose Hand my soul is! She further said, O Allah's Messenger ! Abu Sufyan is a miser, so, is it sinful of me to feed my children from his property ? He said, I do not allow it unless you take for your needs what is just and reasonable.
