Baab Ansar Ke Munaqib

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : فُرِضَتِ الصَّلَاةُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ , ثُمَّ هَاجَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَفُرِضَتْ أَرْبَعًا وَتُرِكَتْ صَلَاةُ السَّفَرِ عَلَى الْأُولَى . تَابَعَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے مسدد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے یزید بن زریع نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے معمر نے بیان کیا، ان سے زہری نے، ان سے عروہ نے اور ان سے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ ( پہلے ) نماز صرف دو رکعت فرض ہوئی تھی پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہجرت کی تو وہ فرض رکعات چار رکعات ہو گئیں۔ البتہ سفر کی حالت میں نماز اپنی حالت میں باقی رکھی گئی۔ اس روایت کی متابعت عبدالرزاق نے معمر سے کی ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated `Aisha: Originally, two rak`at were prescribed in every prayer. When the Prophet migrated (to Medina) four rak`at were enjoined, while the journey prayer remained unchanged(i.e. two rak`at).
