حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُدْرِكٍ , حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ , أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ , عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ , عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ , عَنْ سَلْمَانَ , قَالَ : فَتْرَةٌ بَيْنَ عِيسَى وَمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمَا وَسَلَّمَ سِتُّ مِائَةَ سَنَةٍ .
مجھ سے حسن بن مدرک نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے یحییٰ بن حماد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو ابوعوانہ نے خبر دی، انہیں عاصم احول نے، انہیں ابوعثمان نہدی نے اور ان سے سلمان فارسی رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ عیسیٰ علیہ السلام اور محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے درمیان میں «فترة» کا زمانہ ( یعنی جس میں کوئی پیغمبر نہیں آیا ) چھ سو برس کا وقفہ گزرا ہے۔
