حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَبَّانُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا جُوَيْرِيَةُ بْنُ أَسْمَاءَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا : أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَرَّقَ نَخْلَ بَنِي النَّضِيرِ ، قَالَ : وَلَهَا يَقُولُ حَسَّانُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ : وَهَانَ عَلَى سَرَاةِ بَنِي لُؤَيٍّ حَرِيقٌ بِالْبُوَيْرَةِ مُسْتَطِيرُ قَالَ : فَأَجَابَهُ أَبُو سُفْيَانَ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَدَامَ اللَّهُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ صَنِيعٍ وَحَرَّقَ فِي نَوَاحِيهَا السَّعِيرُ سَتَعْلَمُ أَيُّنَا مِنْهَا بِنُزْهٍ وَتَعْلَمُ أَيُّ أَرْضَيْنَا تَضِيرُ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے اسحاق نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو حبان نے خبر دی، انہیں جویریہ بن اسماء نے، انہیں نافع نے، انہیں ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بنو نضیر کے باغات جلوا دیئے تھے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ حسان بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ نے اسی کے متعلق یہ شعر کہا تھا ( ترجمہ ) ”بنو لوی ( قریش ) کے سرداروں نے بڑی آسانی کے ساتھ برداشت کر لیا۔ مقام بویرہ میں اس آگ کو جو پھیل رہی تھی۔“ بیان کیا کہ پھر اس کا جواب ابوسفیان بن حارث نے ان اشعار میں دیا۔ ”خدا کرے کہ مدینہ میں ہمیشہ یوں ہی آگ لگتی رہے اور اس کے اطراف میں یوں ہی شعلے اٹھتے رہیں۔ تمہیں جلد ہی معلوم ہو جائے گا کہ ہم میں سے کون اس مقام بویرہ سے دور ہے اور تمہیں معلوم ہو جائے گا کہ کس کی زمین کو نقصان پہنچتا ہے۔“

English Translation

Narrated Ibn `Umar: The Prophet burnt the date-palm trees of Bani An-Nadir. Hassan bin Thabit said the following poetic Verses about this event:-- the terrible burning of Al-Buwaira Has been received indifferently By the nobles of Bani Luai (The masters and nobles of Quraish). Abu Sufyan bin Al-Harith (i.e. the Prophet's cousin who was still a disbeliever then) replied to Hassan, saying in poetic verses:-- May Allah bless that burning And set all its (i.e. Medina's) Parts on burning fire. You will see who is far from it (i.e. Al-Buwaira) And which of our lands will be Harmed by it (i.e. the burning of Al- Buwaira).
