Baab Ghazwat Ke Bayan Main

وَقَالَ أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا قَالَ لَمَّا قُتِلَ أَبِي جَعَلْتُ أَبْكِي وَأَكْشِفُ الثَّوْبَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ، فَجَعَلَ أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَوْنِي وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَنْهَ، وَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لاَ تَبْكِيهِ أَوْ مَا تَبْكِيهِ، مَا زَالَتِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ تُظِلُّهُ بِأَجْنِحَتِهَا حَتَّى رُفِعَ».

Urdu Translation

اور ابوالولید نے بیان کیا، ان سے شعبہ نے، ان سے ابن المنکدر نے، انہوں نے جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ   میرے والد عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ شہید کر دیئے گئے تو میں رونے لگا اور باربار ان کے چہرے سے کپڑا ہٹاتا۔ صحابہ مجھے روکتے تھے لیکن رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نہیں روکا۔ ( فاطمہ بنت عمر رضی اللہ عنہا عبداللہ کی بہن بھی رونے لگیں ) آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان سے فرمایا کہ روؤ مت۔ ( آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے «لا تبكيه» فرمایا، یا «ما تبكيه» ۔ راوی کو شک ہو گیا ) فرشتے برابر ان کی لاش پر اپنے پروں کا سایہ کئے ہوئے تھے۔ یہاں تک کہ ان کو اٹھا لیا گیا۔

English Translation

Jabir added, When my father was martyred, I started weeping and uncovering his face. The companions of the Prophet stopped me from doing so but the Prophet did not stop me. Then the Prophet said, '(O Jabir.) don't weep over him, for the angels kept on covering him with their wings till his body was carried away (for burial).
