حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَاءَهُ جَاءٍ , فَقَالَ : أُكِلَتِ الْحُمُرُ ؟ فَسَكَتَ ، ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ الثَّانِيَةَ , فَقَالَ : أُكِلَتِ الْحُمُرُ ؟ ، فَسَكَتَ ، ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ الثَّالِثَةَ , فَقَالَ : أُفْنِيَتِ الْحُمُرُ ؟ فَأَمَرَ مُنَادِيًا فَنَادَى فِي النَّاسِ : إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ يَنْهَيَانِكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الْأَهْلِيَّةِ ، فَأُكْفِئَتِ الْقُدُورُ وَإِنَّهَا لَتَفُورُ بِاللَّحْمِ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے عبداللہ بن عبدالوہاب نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے عبدالوہاب نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے ایوب نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے محمد نے اور ان سے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں ایک آنے والے نے حاضر ہو کر عرض کیا کہ گدھے کا گوشت کھایا جا رہا ہے۔ اس پر آپ نے خاموشی اختیار کی پھر دوبارہ وہ حاضر ہوئے اور عرض کیا کہ گدھے کا گوشت کھایا جا رہا ہے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس مرتبہ بھی خاموش رہے ‘ پھر وہ تیسری مرتبہ آئے اور عرض کیا کہ گدھے ختم ہو گئے۔ اس کے بعد نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک منادی سے اعلان کرایا کہ اللہ اور اس کے رسول تمہیں پالتو گدھوں کے گوشت کے کھانے سے منع کرتے ہیں۔ چنانچہ تمام ہانڈیاں الٹ دی گئیں حالانکہ وہ گوشت کے ساتھ جوش مار رہی تھیں۔

English Translation

Narrated Anas bin Malik: Someone came to Allah's Apostles and said, The donkeys have been eaten (by the Muslims). The Prophet kept quiet. Then the man came again and said, The donkeys have been eaten. The Prophet kept quiet. The man came to him the third time and said, The donkeys have been consumed. On that the Prophet ordered an announcer to announce to the people, Allah and His Apostle forbid you to eat the meat of donkeys. Then the cooking pots were upset while the meat was still boiling in them.
