حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الزُّهْرِيَّ ، وَسَأَلَهُ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَنْبَسَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ , أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلَهُ ، قَالَ لَهُ بَعْضُ بَنِي سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ : لَا تُعْطِهِ ، فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : هَذَا قَاتِلُ ابْنِ قَوْقَلٍ ، فَقَالَ : وَاعَجَبَاهْ لِوَبْرٍ تَدَلَّى مِنْ قَدُومِ الضَّأْنِ .

Urdu Translation

مجھ سے علی بن عبداللہ نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے سفیان نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا کہ میں نے زہری سے سنا اور ان سے اسماعیل بن امیہ نے سوال کیا تھا تو انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ مجھے عنبسہ بن سعید نے خبر دی کہ   ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے اور آپ سے ( خیبر کی غنیمت میں سے ) حصہ مانگا۔ سعید بن عاص کے ایک لڑکے ( ابان بن سعید رضی اللہ عنہ ) نے کہا: یا رسول اللہ! انہیں نہ دیجئیے۔ اس پر ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ یہ شخص تو ابن قوقل کا قاتل ہے۔ ابان رضی اللہ عنہ اس پر بولے حیرت ہے اس «وبر» ( بلی سے چھوٹا ایک جانور ) پر جو قدوم الضان پہاڑی سے اتر آیا ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated 'Anbasa bin Sa`id: Abu Huraira came to the Prophet and asked him (for a share from the Khaibar booty). On that, one of the sons of Sa`id bin Al-`As said to him, O Allah's Apostle! Do not give him. Abu Huraira then said (to the Prophet ) This is the murderer of Ibn Qauqal. Sa`id's son said, How strange! A guinea pig coming from Qadum Ad-Dan!
