حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ أَخْبَرَهُ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَزَا غَزْوَةَ الْفَتْحِ فِي رَمَضَانَ ، قَالَ : وَسَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ يَقُولُ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ ، وَعَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : صَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ الْكَدِيدَ الْمَاءَ الَّذِي بَيْنَ قُدَيْدٍ وَعُسْفَانَ أَفْطَرَ ، فَلَمْ يَزَلْ مُفْطِرًا حَتَّى انْسَلَخَ الشَّهْرُ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے عبداللہ بن یوسف تینسی نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے لیث بن مسعود نے ‘ کہا کہ مجھ سے عقیل بن خالد نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے ابن شہاب نے ‘ کہا کہ مجھے عبیداللہ بن عبداللہ بن عتبہ نے خبر دی اور انہیں ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے خبر دی کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے غزوہ فتح مکہ رمضان میں کیا تھا۔ زہری نے ابن سعد سے بیان کیا کہ میں نے سعید بن مسیب سے سنا کہ وہ بھی اسی طرح بیان کرتے تھے۔ زہری نے عبیداللہ سے روایت کیا ‘ ان سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ ( غزوہ فتح کے سفر میں جاتے ہوئے ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم روزے سے تھے لیکن جب آپ مقام کدید پہنچے ‘ جو قدید اور عسفان کے درمیان ایک چشمہ ہے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے روزہ توڑ دیا۔ اس کے بعد نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے روزہ نہیں رکھا یہاں تک کہ رمضان کا مہینہ ختم ہو گیا۔

English Translation

Narrated Ubaidullah bin `Abdullah bin `Utba: Ibn `Abbas said, Allah's Apostle fought the Ghazwa (i.e. battles of Al-Fath during Ramadan. Narrated Az-Zuhri: Ibn Al-Musaiyab (also) said the same. Ibn `Abbas added, The Prophet fasted and when he reached Al-Kadid, a place where there is water between Kudaid and 'Usfan, he broke his fast and did not fast afterwards till the whole month had passed away.
