Baab Ghazwat Ke Bayan Main

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا : إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُهَاجِرَ إِلَى الشَّأْمِ ، قَالَ : لَا هِجْرَةَ ، وَلَكِنْ جِهَادٌ ، فَانْطَلِقْ ، فَاعْرِضْ نَفْسَكَ ، فَإِنْ وَجَدْتَ شَيْئًا وَإِلَّا رَجَعْتَ .

Urdu Translation

مجھ سے محمد بن بشار نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے غندر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابوبشر نے اور ان سے مجاہد نے کہ   میں نے ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے عرض کیا کہ میرا ارادہ ہے کہ میں ملک شام کو ہجرت کر جاؤں، فرمایا: اب ہجرت باقی نہیں رہی، جہاد ہی باقی رہ گیا ہے۔ اس لیے جاؤ اور خود کو پیش کرو۔ اگر تم نے کچھ پا لیا تو بہتر ورنہ واپس آ جانا۔

English Translation

Narrated Mujahid: I said to Ibn `Umar, I want to migrate to Sham. He said, There is no migration, but Jihad (for Allah's Cause). Go and offer yourself for Jihad, and if you find an opportunity for Jihad (stay there) otherwise, come back.
