حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ تَلَا : إِلا الْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ سورة النساء آية 98 ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ أَنَا وَأُمِّي مِمَّنْ عَذَرَ اللَّهُ . وَيُذْكَرُ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ : حَصِرَتْ : ضَاقَتْ ، تَلْوُوا : أَلْسِنَتَكُمْ بِالشَّهَادَةِ ، وَقَالَ غَيْرُه : الْمُرَاغَمُ الْمُهَاجَرُ رَاغَمْتُ هَاجَرْتُ قَوْمِي مَوْقُوتًا : مُوَقَّتًا وَقْتَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے سلیمان بن حرب نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے حماد بن زید نے بیان کیا، ان سے ایوب نے، ان سے ابن ابی ملیکہ نے   کہ ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے آیت «لا المستضعفين من الرجال والنساء والولدان‏» کی تلاوت کی اور فرمایا کہ میں اور میری والدہ بھی ان لوگوں میں سے تھیں، جنہیں اللہ تعالیٰ نے معذور رکھا تھا۔ اور ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ «حصرت‏» معنی میں «ضاقت» کے ہے۔ «تلووا‏» یعنی تمہاری زبانوں سے گواہی ادا ہو گی۔ اور ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کے سوا دوسرے شخص ( ابوعبیدہ رضی اللہ عنہ ) نے کہا «مراغم» کا معنی ہجرت کا مقام۔ عرب لوگ کہتے ہیں «راغمت قومي‏.‏» یعنی میں نے اپنی قوم والوں کو جمع کر دیا۔ «موقوتا‏» کے معنی ایک وقت مقررہ پر یعنی جو وقت ان کے لیے مقرر ہو۔

English Translation

Narrated Ibn Abi Mulaika: Ibn `Abbas recited:-- Except the weak ones among men women and children, (4.98) and said, My mother and I were among those whom Allah had excused.
