حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مُوسَى أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَعْوَرُ ، عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَدْعُو : أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبُخْلِ وَالْكَسَلِ ، وَأَرْذَلِ الْعُمُرِ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ ، وَفِتْنَةِ الدَّجَّالِ ، وَفِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے ہارون بن موسیٰ ابوعبداللہ اعور نے بیان کیا، ان سے شعیب نے اور ان سے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم دعا کیا کرتے تھے «أعوذ بك من البخل والكسل،‏‏‏‏ وأرذل العمر،‏‏‏‏ وعذاب القبر،‏‏‏‏ وفتنة الدجال،‏‏‏‏ وفتنة المحيا والممات ‏ ‏‏.‏» کہ اے اللہ! میں تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں بخل سے، سستی سے، ارذل عمر سے ( نکمی اور خراب عمر 80 یا 90 سال کے بعد ) عذاب قبر سے، دجال کے فتنے سے اور زندگی اور موت کے فتنے سے۔

English Translation

Narrated Anas bin Malik: Allah's Messenger used to invoke thus: O Allah! I seek refuge with You from miserliness, laziness; from old geriatric age the punishment in the grave; from the affliction of Ad-Dajjal; and from the afflictions of life and death.
